1. Dates for All FPTA 2017 Activities:
Saturday, May 20:
• All-Day, Tailor-Made Professional Group and One-on-One workshops for both the professional and the new-to-the-business actor -- access details here and cursor to green highlights OR go to page 4 on this brochure for details.

•Callbacks for actors who are called back the day they audition are held the same evening as the day they audition. Actors might be called back to read, do another audition, dance, or sing a different song than the audition song they did for their two-minute audition. Note that all actors may participate in dance callbacks.
2. Professional Workshops for Actors -- invest in yourself and your career:
First-Registered, First-Secured for 2017 Workshops:To secure your place in these popular and extremely helpful professional workshops, you must pre-register and pre-pay on the online application to secure your participation in these workshops.
Space will be limited to a specfic number of participants to allow more personal time with the professional acting, singing, and dance coaches. So, please register early to ensure your space in these excellent workshops. They are investments in you and your future in this business.

Fees:$25 per person per workshop and $15 per person for one of the Ask-FPTA Lunches
Tax-deductible Investment: The investment in FPTA 2017 workshops and other activities are also tax-deductible on your 2017 taxes.
This is a great opportunity for actors to network among themselves and the participating-company representatives. The company representatives highly recommend you participate and attend this lunch Q & A among your acting/performing colleagues and the companies. Come prepared with your questions -- you'll learn and have a great time, too.

4. Age Requirements for Actors and Performers to Participate in FPTA 2017:
To participate in the auditions, workshops, and the ASK FPTA networking luncheons, you must be at least 18-years-old (the only exception will be for those actors under the age of 18 who have professional theatre experiences -- this means that they have been or are being paid for their acting talents).
These auditions are for professional theatre and entertainment companies that are looking to hire both Equity and professional Non-Equity actors and/or professional singers and dancers for their future seasons and productions. Actors and performers must be available to cast.
5. Eligibility Requirements to Secure An Audition Time:
Professional actors and performers must meet at least one of the following eligibility requirements listed below to secure an audition time. Actors and performers also must be available to negotiate their work availability if offered a job or jobs by any of the FPTA 2017 participating companies:
A. Equity Actors (AEA)– current-dues paying members of Actors’ Equity Association
Note to Equity Actors: Equity actors will have to show their AEA membership card at the on-site FPTA check-in table. AEA dues must be up-to-date. If AEA actors do not have their Equity card, they will be charged a $60 audition fee prior to their auditions.
B. Non-Equity Actors who must meet at least one of the eligibility requirements listed below to qualify for an audition time at FPTA 2017. Note that all actors are eligible to participate in any of the professional FPTA workshops that are available from May 20 through May 22; however, to secure an audition time, at least one of these requirements must be met:
1. Equity-membership candidate;
2. Former member of AEA;
3. Membership in other professional acting union/s, e.g., SAG or AFTRA;
4. Have one or more degrees in theatre, music, or dance from a recognized college or university and want to pursue professional career in these industries;
5. At least three-years experience acting or performing professionally with recognized professional theatre or entertainment companies as reflected in your one-page résumé;
6. performed in at least 9 productions in either community theatre and/or school, college, university productions as reflected in your résumé and actively pursuing a career as a professional actor or in this industry;
7. participate in Saturday, May 20, All-Day Tailor-Made Workshops and One-on-One Coaching.
6. Application and Deadlineto Register for Auditions, Workshops, and Ask- FPTA Q & A Networking Lunches:
BEFORE you complete the easy and quick online FPTA 2017 application, please have the following things ready and available to complete the application in one step:
• Your latest professional one-page résumé ready to upload onto the online application;
• A list of the FPTA 2017 activities you want to register for; and
• Your credit card to make the appropriate payment if applicable to you.
IMPORTANT NOTEthat if payment is due, your application requests will only be processed and finalilzed once FPTA receives your payment.
The FPTA 2017 online application(the only application available) is used to register for
a. Saturday's All-Day, Tailor-Made Group and One-on-One Coaching and Workshops;
b. Professional individual workshops on either Sunday or Monday;
c. An Ask-FPTA Q & A and networking lunch among your colleagues and companies on either Sunday or Monday; and
d. An audition time on either Sunday or Monday.
e. You will also have to
(1) attach your one-page professional acting and/or performance résumé to the online application; and
(2) make a safe and secure payment on the online application for the FPTA 2017 activities you registered to participate in during the three-day event.
Deadline to Register: Online registration and payment must be received by FPTA on or before Monday, May 15, 2017. After the deadline, there is a $25 late fee for both Equity and Non-Equity actors and performers.
IMPORTANT: Audition, workshops, and Ask-FPTA Q & A Lunch requests will be honored on a first-registered, first-served basis ONLY WHENthe required application, payment, and résumé are received. So, please register and pay early to secure your space at this year's professional auditions, workshops, and Ask-FPTA Q & A Lunches with participating companies.
Revisions to Your Online Application: The online application allows you to change your own audition time and date; add or delete FPTA 2017 activities; and if needed, cancel any activity. Understand, however, that FPTA cannot guarantee your participation in certain FPTA 2017 activities if you make too many changes or wait until the last-minute to make them. No changes or refunds will be honored after Monday, May 15.

10. Fees for Each of the FPTA 2017 Activities:
Refer to the table below for a list of the various fees for each of the FPTA 2017 activities.
FPTA 2017 Audition Fee for Non-Equity Actors and Performers:
For eligible, Non-Equity actors and performers who want to audition at FPTA 2017.
FPTA 2017 Audition Fee for Active Members of Actors' Equity Association:
Active, up-to-date dues-paying members of Actors' Equity Association do not have to pay an audition fee. However, if you were a former member of AEA or are not up-to-date on your AEA dues, you will be charged the $60 non-Equity audition fee. All actors who register as an AEA member will be asked to show their AEA membership card at the onsite registration desk the day of their auditions.
We encourage AEA actors to participate in FPTA 2017 professional workshops and Ask FPTA Q & A Networking Lunch discussions among their colleagues and representatives from the participating companies. Fees to participate in these FPTA 2017 activities do apply to AEA members.
Saturday, May 20, All-Day Tailor-Made Group and One-on-One Workshops & Coaching
For established and new-to-the business actors and performers. Day includes tailor-made group and one-one-one workshops and coaching based upon registered actors' needs. Also includes Saturday lunch and Q & A with workshop coaches during lunch. Also, guarantees an audition time on either Sunday or Monday; however, note that there is an additional $60 audition fee if non-Equity actors and performers want to audition on either Sunday or Monday.

Ask-FPTA Lunch and Q & A with representatives from paricipating companies scheduled 5/21 and 5/22.
The participating companies highly recommend all actors participate in these Q & A lunch discussions among your professional acting/performing colleagues and representatives from the participating companies.
You may also bring a guest; however, note that the fee is $15 per participant.
